Prayer

When you come to God in prayer you come to your Father. He wants you to come as a child who is loved, who is accepted, who is cared for, and who is secure. He wants you to come in openness, in confidence, in truthfulness. He waits to hear your heart, and to share His heart with you. Through prayer you can gather the riches of heaven and bring them down to earth... You can delight in the beauty of heaven and carry it in your heart... You can enjoy the fellowship of heaven and walk in it throughout the day.

Poem of the Day

"I'm afraid of death" by Kathleen Ossip I'm afraid of death because it inflates the definition of what a person is, or love, until they become the same, love, the beloved, immaterial. I'm afraid of death because it invents a different kind of time, a stopped clock that can't be reset, only repurchased, an antiquity. I'm afraid of death, the magician who makes vanish and who makes odd things appear in odd places--your name engraves itself on a stranger's chest in letters of char.

Your Choice!

Then they [those who rejected God] will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life. Matthew 25:46 NIV It would be nice if God let us order life like we order a meal. “I’ll take good health and a high IQ, please!” Would’ve been nice. But it didn’t happen. When it came to your life on earth, you weren’t given a voice or a vote. But when it comes to life after death, you were! Have you been given any greater privilege than that of choice? You’ve made some bad choices in life, haven’t you? You’ve chosen the wrong friends, maybe the wrong career, even the wrong spouse. You say, “If only… if only I could make up for those bad choices.” You can! One good choice for eternity offsets a thousand bad ones on earth The choice is yours!

Pain

Had a pretty rough day today...:-( These broken ribs are really taking forever to heal, & a toll on my body....I couldn't get to sleep at all last night, finally got some sleep this evening, & hopefully will be able to sleep some tonight. The problem is, no matter how I try to lay, the ribs are moving, rubbing around, & it's very painful....ugh! I hate this SO much...this constant sickness, or pain! I don't remember ever signing up for this! lol So, anyway, keep me in your prayers...I'd appreciate it.,...& just know that I have started on another book, well, 3 actually, hahaha, I do that all the time, start 1, then I get another idea, sometimes up to 4 different ideas, anyway, gonna try to get back to it, & then hopefully, get some shut eye....g'night all, & God bless!! :-D--Angela

The righteousness of God is revealed through faith in Jesus Christ, to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…Romans 3:22 Perhaps the heaviest burden we try to carry is the burden of mistakes and failures. What do you do with your failures? Even if you’ve fallen, even if you’ve failed, even if everyone else has rejected you, Christ will not turn away from you. Psalm 68:19 says, “Praise the Lord, God our Savior, who helps us every day.” Every day! Christ came first and foremost to those who have not hope. He goes to those no one else would go to and says, “I’ll give you eternity!” Only you can surrender your concerns to the Father. No one else can take those away and give them to God. What better way to start the day than by laying your cares at Jesus’ feet?

Prayers....selfish or not?

Moses could have said, "This is my chance to rid myself of the troublesome burden of these people. If God can't stand them, why should I? God said he'd make me into a mighty nation. Yes!" But he did not think about himself. His concern was for God's reputation. That approach had power to change God's mind. Are your prayers more concerned about God than yourself? Those are the kinds of prayers that move God.

New home

SO, WE STARTED LOOKING, ONE DAY HUBBY FOUND A TRAILER PARK WITH A TRAILER FOR SALE, A FIXER UPPER, & SO WE APPLIED, & GOT ACCEPTED, & PURCHASED IT. O, IT NEEDED LOTS OF WORK, BUT WE DIDN'T MIND, IT WAS OURS. IT WAS HOME. HUBBY STARTED ON IT RIGHT AWAY. ALL THE WATER PIPES IN THE TRAILER, & I DO MEAN ALL, WERE BUSTED, SO THAT WAS HIS FIRST THING ON HIS LIST.....I CLEANED. BOY, THAT PLACE WAS FILTHY! BY THE TIME I WAS DONE, THERE WAS LOAD AFTER LOAD OF TRASH! BUT, I GOT IT ALL! :-) THEN, WE WERE GONNA START ON THE LIVING ROOM FLOOR, THERE WERE HOLES IN IT, SO WE HAD TO REPLACE IT, BUT BEFORE THAT COULD BE DONE, WE HAD TO GET A WATER HEATER. MY HUSBAND FIXED THAT AS WELL, GOT ME A WASHING MACHINE, I WAS TICKLED!! I COULD TAKE BATHS, DO LAUNDRY! COOK, DO DISHES! IT WAS ALL COMING TOGETHER....& THEN, JUNE 29TH HAPPENED. IT WAS A HUGE STORM, DAMAGED A LOT IN OUR AREA, INCLUDING DESTROYING OUR HOME & EVERYTHING IN IT. LUCKILY HUBBY WASN'T HOME, BUT ME & OUR ANIMALS WERE, & I GOTTA TELL YA, IT WAS TERRIFYING! A LOT OF PEOPLE, INCLUDING THE PRESS, HAVE ASKED ME WHAT IT SOUNDED LIKE. WELL, THE BEST WAY I CAN DESRIBE IT IS TO SAY IT SOUNDED AS IF A HUGE GIANT WAS WALKING ON OUR HOME & SMASHING EVERYTHING IN HIS WAY! I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.....EVERY ROOM I WENT INTO COLLAPSED ON ME! IT WAS LIKE A MOVIE.....I HAD NO WHERE TO GO, COULDN'T GET OUTSIDE BECAUSE THERE WERE TREES BLOCKING THE EXITS....SO, I SANK DOWN IN THE HALLWAY WITH MY ANIMALS, PRAYED, & AWAITED MY FATE. THEN IT STOPPED....LOL. LOOKING BACK ON IT NOW, I THINK IT'S KINDA FUNNY....ONCE I 'ACCEPTED' MY, WHAT I THOUGHT AT THE TIME, DEMISE, THEN IT STOPS.....HOW CRUEL THE FATES ARE SOMETIMES! BUT, ME & THE ANIMALS WERE OKAY, MIRACLE MIRACLE, & WE WERE ABLE TO GET OUT SAFELY ONCE THE POLICE & FIREMEN ARRIVED & CUT AWAY THE TREES BLOCKING OUR EXITS. I WILL CONTINUE LATER.....

crazy happenings! Continued

so, I really liked the RV. I feel it got me & my Husband a 100 percent closer! We knew it would either make us or break us, & thankfully, it turned out good. sometimes, when there are too many distractions; work, kids, friends, relatives, etc..., we seem to forget our most important & vital relationships....or they get put on the back burner, so to speak, & that's what I had been doing to my Husband. putting everybody,(mainly kids), & everything over him, & that was completely wrong on my part, & a huge error. because now I see how very important he is to me, how much he seems to love me way more than anyone else around me does & is always giving unselfishly to me. So, we lived in the RV for a year, got totally close, as a marriage should be, & then decided we should look for a real home. It's not that the RV living wasn't doable anymore, but with 3 dogs & 3 cats, we knew we needed more room...lol

crazy happenings!

WELL, IT'S BEEN QUITE A WHILE SINCE I LAST BLOGGED! WOW! SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED! I DON'T KNOW WHY MY DUMB CAPS ARE LOCKED?? CAN'T FIX IT! ANYWAY, I GUESS I'LL TRY & GET CAUGHT UP WITH EVERYTHING THAT'S HAPPENED! FOR STARTERS, WE SOLD OUR HOME, & MOVED INTO AN RV FOR A WHILE. A YEAR ACTUALLY. IT WAS JUST ME, HUBBY & THE ANIMALS. IT WAS VERY COZY.....I REALLY LIKED IT ACTUALLY, & SOMETIMES MISS IT :-( ,BUT, LIFE MOVES ON & GOD CHOOSES DIFFERENT PATHS FOR YOUR LIFE & YOU JUST GO WITH IT.
